This past weekend, the Women's wrestling team competed in the Sectional Tournament at Eastern Hancock High School. Our Lady Cougars turned in an outstanding performance, with four individuals advancing to next weekend's regional at Muncie Central. Sophomore Neveah Branscum earned a 4th place finish at 105 lbs to advance to the regional tournament for the second straight year. Senior Katie Rigney came in as a 6th seed at 135 lbs and wrestled her way into the finals, finishing as a runner-up to move on to the regional tournament. Capping off an outstanding tournament were our two champions, freshman Isabella McCullough, 145 lbs, and junior Keely Allen, 235 lbs. All four wrestlers will look to earn a state finals berth this weekend at the Muncie Central Regional.
