The Lady Cougars won their 7th game in a row and in the process advanced to the Championship game of the IHSAA Sectional at Pendleton Heights. The Cougars had a great team effort tonight with 7 out of 9 players in the scoring column. The Cougars repeatedly attacked the basket on offense which resulted in 24 free throw attempts and 17 points. Greenfield led by 18 points entering the 4th quarters on their way to a 15 point victory. The Cougars were led in scoring by sophomore Riley Schellhammer with 18, including 11 of 14 from the free throw line, and junior Izzy Silcox with 10 points. Senior Juliann Jones contributed 8 points, but more importantly, she provided tremendous defense and relentless hustle that set the tone for the Cougars. The IHSAA Sectional Championship tip-off is scheduled for 7:30. The team would love to see and hear a huge crowd Saturday night at the game. Let's go Cougars!
