The Lady Cougars season came to an end tonight as they lost to a very good team from Pendleton Heights in the Championship came of the IHSAA Sectional. The Cougars put a great fight and only trailed by 4 points halfway thru the 3 rd quarter. However, the inside play of Pendleton Heights ended up being too much for the Cougars to overcome. The Cougars had three players in double figures. They were Riley Schellhammer, Izzy Silcox, and Lexi Kerkhof, who scored 16, 13, and 10 respectively. The Cougars finished the season 13-12. The Cougars said goodbye tonight to their lone senior player Juliann Jones. Her leadership, effort, attitude, competitiveness, and athleticism will be greatly missed next year. We all appreciate everything she has done for the program and wish her nothing but success in the next chapter of her life.
