The lady cougars picked up their first win of the season 9-3 over Triton Central. Triton got off to a early lead 1-0 aided by 2 walks and an error. In the bottom half of the inning Kristen Wineinger got it started with a single and a stolen base and scored on a Savvanna Riall triple. Charlotte Riehle followed with a double scoring Riall. Abby Capen singled advancing Riehle to 3rd, Avery Daniels grounded out to 2nd scoring Riehle for a 3-1 lead. Triton would battle back to tie the score at 3-3 with 2 runs in the 3rd. Daniels tripled to center scoring Riall, Chesney Herbst singled to score Daniels. Olivia Bradshaw reached on an error, Milly Aldridge worked a walk, Wineinger single to the pitcher, an error by the 1st baseman cleared the bases, Wineinger scored on an error to make the score 9-3. Ailea Dowdy went the distance allowing 3 run 1 earned struck out 5 and walked 7 for the win. Wineinger was 3 for 4, Daniels was 2 for 3 and Chesney Herbst was 2 for 3.
