Cougars out slug the Golden Bears Varsity vs Shelbyville High School. On a night where the ball was carrying the Lady Cougars out slug a very good Shelbyville squad. Shelbyville hit 2 home runs in the 1st inning, but the Cougars fought back with 4 in the 1st and never trailed again. In the 2nd Savvanna Riall hit the first of her 2 home runs a 2-run shot, Tovaria Smith added a run scoring double giving the Cougars a 7-2 lead, The 3rd inning Leilani Forshey started the frame with a solo home run and Riall added a 3-run shot giving the Cougars a 11-2 lead. Shelbyville picked up 3 runs in the 4th but the Cougars would pick up 2 more runs on a double by Riall giving her 7 rbi on the evening. Shelbyville would score 3 more in the 7th before the Cougars ended the game with their 15th double play of the season. Josie White was 3 for3, bb and scored twice, Kristen Wineinger was 2 for 4 and scored 4 runs, Savvannna Riall 3 for 4, 2 home runs, double, scored 3 runs and drove in 7, Tovaria Smith was 3 for 4, a double and a rbi, Leilani Forshey 2 for 4 with a home run, scored a run, 3 rbi. Addi Heacox got the win going 5 innings allowing 10 hits and 7 runs all earned and striking out 1, Tovaria Smith threw2 innings allowing 2 hits and an earned run and 1 strike out.
