The Cougars finished just one stroke behind tournament champions, New Palestine Red, in a thrilling competition that showcased their growth and precision on the course. A Collective Effort Drives Success Led by Avery Young, who recorded an impressive 75, Greenfield Central demonstrated consistency throughout the day. Corbin Elliott followed with a 77, and Trevor Smith rounded out the top trio with an 80, ensuring the Cougars placed three golfers in the tournament’s top 10 individual leaderboard. Their efforts played a crucial role in the team’s standout 317 total—a season-best. Fierce Competition and Strong Showings The tournament featured eight teams, with New Palestine Red (316) narrowly edging out Greenfield Central.
